Thailand ready to host 2026 IMF-World Bank meetings, preparing to showcase 4 world-class exhibitions
Thailand is fully preparing to host the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank in 2026, which is considered a significant global platform that will bring together leaders and economic experts from around the world to Thailand.
Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Director-General of the Revenue Department, has confirmed Thailand's readiness to welcome meeting participants, emphasizing that this event will be a key opportunity to showcase the country's potential in various fields to the world through four highlight exhibitions that reflect the future direction of the country's development.
The four exhibition topics consist of Digital Finance, to keep pace with changing financial technologies; Sustainability, which is a critical global issue today; Well-being, focusing on the good quality of life for the people; and the Philosophy of the Sufficiency Economy, which is a sustainable development approach that Thailand wishes to share with the international community.
Hosting this event is not merely an economic meeting, but also a platform for Thailand to present a development model that blends modern technology with traditional wisdom, in order to build confidence among investors and international organizations regarding Thailand's progress.
