Venezuela Rushes to Assess Damage After Major Earthquake, Over 180 Buildings Destroyed
Venezuela has recently experienced two major earthquakes, which caused severe damage to homes and buildings in several areas. This event has significantly impacted the lives of the people and caused many families to lose their homes immediately.
According to the latest reports from the Venezuelan government, at least 189 buildings have completely collapsed. The intense tremors caused the structures of many buildings to fail. In addition to the collapsed buildings, many other structures have been damaged to the point where they can no longer be used normally.
Meanwhile, the United Nations (UN) has released a preliminary damage assessment of this natural disaster, estimating that the total damage could reach as high as 6.7 billion US dollars (approximately 220 billion baht). This is considered a very high figure that will affect the country's economy in the long term.
Currently, rescue workers and relevant agencies are continuously providing assistance to those affected. Although the reconstruction of buildings and infrastructure will require a long time and a significant budget, international aid and careful planning will be crucial in helping Venezuela overcome this crisis.
