BOI Approves 9 Major Projects Worth Over 66 Billion Baht, Aiming to Develop Technology and Clean Energy
The Board of Investment (BOI) has announced the approval of 9 new investment projects with a combined investment value of 66,320 million baht. This move demonstrates that Thailand remains a key destination for foreign investors, particularly in target industries that drive the country's economy.
The projects approved in this round are diverse and cover several sectors, ranging from the food industry and aviation to the manufacturing of printed circuit boards (PCBs), which are essential components in electronic devices. These investments will help enhance Thailand's competitiveness in the global market and create long-term economic stability.
Furthermore, the BOI is prioritizing digital development and clean energy, approving data hosting service projects to support the expansion of the digital economy, as well as wind energy projects, which are part of the efforts to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable energy use in Thailand.
This large-scale investment will not only stimulate the overall economy but also have a positive impact on employment and the skill development of the Thai workforce in high-tech industries. This is considered a crucial factor that will help Thailand grow sustainably amidst the changes in the global economy.
