Ministry of Foreign Affairs Joins Forces with Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation to Accelerate Science and Technology Cooperation
On September 30, 2026, Ms. Eksiri Pintaruji, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, held a discussion with Professor Dr. Supachai Pathumnakul, Permanent Secretary for Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to establish guidelines for promoting international cooperation in science, technology, and innovation.
The primary objective of this discussion was to exchange views and identify approaches for applying scientific knowledge to enhance Thailand's competitiveness on the global stage. Both agencies agreed that building international cooperation networks is essential for driving sustainable development.
Furthermore, both parties discussed supporting Thai personnel and researchers in gaining opportunities to exchange experiences with experts abroad, as well as applying modern technology to address critical domestic issues. This will help promote Thailand's image as a nation with academic and innovative advancement.
