Thailand prepares to host world-class 'GWS 2026' event in Phuket after Thai massage event generates over 75 million baht
The Ministry of Public Health and relevant agencies have achieved great success from organizing the Thai Massage and Herbal Expo. The event featured a comprehensive presentation of Thai massage disciplines, including applied Thai massage, foot massage, and spa massage, which garnered significant interest from the public and tourists alike.
In addition to massage services, the event showcased high-quality Thai herbal products, effectively reflecting the charm and potential of Thai wisdom in health and wellness. The activities generated over 75 million baht in circulation, serving as a testament to the popularity of Thailand's health services.
Building on this success, Thailand is preparing to elevate its readiness to host the Global Wellness Summit (GWS) in 2026 in Phuket. This event will serve as a global platform gathering health experts from all corners of the world to exchange knowledge and new innovations, which will help promote Thailand's image as a global hub for health and wellness tourism.
Hosting this event will not only promote the local economy but also reinforce the fact that Thai wisdom can be developed into products and services of international standards, which will help attract more quality tourists to utilize services in Thailand in the future.
