Decentralization Committee appoints new subcommittee to expedite transfer of sub-district health promoting hospitals
The Decentralization to Local Administrative Organization Committee has announced the appointment of a new subcommittee to oversee the transfer of sub-district health promoting hospitals (sub-district hospitals) to local administrative organizations. Mr. Somporn Usebangyang has been appointed as the chairman of this subcommittee.
This restructuring aims primarily to increase management efficiency. The subcommittee will work in collaboration with key agencies, including the Ministry of Public Health, the National Health Security Office (NHSO), and local administrative organizations, to ensure that operations proceed smoothly and better meet the needs of the local population.
The urgent mission of the new subcommittee is to assess the readiness of each sub-district hospital and to accelerate the resolution of obstacles, particularly regarding budgets and necessary resources, to ensure that public health services for citizens are not affected during the transition period of the transfer of authority.
This move is considered a significant step in driving the policy of decentralizing public health, enabling local areas to manage their own health services with quality. Local residents are awaiting the results of these operations, which are expected to facilitate easier and faster access to medical services in the future.
