Government prepares to launch 'Thailand FastPass' to accelerate major investment drive
The Thai government is set to enhance its appeal to foreign investors with the launch of the 'Thailand FastPass' program on June 23. The key objective is to remove obstacles and cumbersome procedures, making the implementation of large-scale investment projects in Thailand faster and more convenient.
Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul is scheduled to preside over the official launch ceremony. The program is designed to support investment promotion applications worth over 100 billion baht, enabling them to transition from document approval to actual on-site investment as efficiently and rapidly as possible.
Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Director-General of the Revenue Department, highlighted the importance of streamlining government work processes, stating that reducing complex procedures will build confidence among both domestic and international investors, which will have a direct positive impact on the long-term growth of the Thai economy.
This move is considered a key government strategy to accelerate economic recovery and stimulation through private sector investment. It is expected that the Thailand FastPass program will help Thailand improve its regional competitiveness.
