Thai Government Attracts Australian Investors, Highlights 'Thailand Fast Pass' to Expedite Investment Project Approvals
Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul led a delegation of executives from 17 leading Thai companies to hold discussions with over 70 Australian investors, aiming to build economic cooperation and attract investment capital into Thailand, while emphasizing Thailand's readiness to serve as an investment hub for the region.
The core of these discussions was the introduction of the "Thailand Fast Pass," a new mechanism designed to reduce procedures and shorten the time required for the approval of various investment projects. The government hopes that this measure will help build confidence and facilitate foreign investors looking to conduct business in Thailand.
The Thai government has identified 10 target industry groups, which are high-potential sectors aligned with the country's economic development direction, such as technology, clean energy, and creative industries, for Australian investors to consider for expanding production bases and forming joint ventures with Thai companies.
This initiative marks a significant step in strengthening trade relations between Thailand and Australia. The government is confident that unlocking constraints on project approvals will help stimulate the Thai economy to grow continuously and create new long-term opportunities for the local workforce and business sector.
