Government pushes 'Thailand Health Excellence' project to elevate Thailand as a global health hub
The Public Relations Department has revealed progress on the 'Thailand Health Excellence' project, a key government policy aimed at promoting the health and medical treatment economy. This project focuses on developing the standards of Thailand's medical services to achieve excellence, in order to meet the needs of both Thai and foreign patients traveling to receive services in Thailand.
The core of the project is to upgrade medical technology and enhance the skills of personnel to reach international levels of expertise. The government believes that development in this area will not only help Thai citizens access higher-quality health services but will also attract health tourists from around the world, which will help generate revenue for the country and stimulate the economy as a whole.
Furthermore, the project supports integration between public and private hospitals, as well as the promotion of wellness tourism, such as spas, traditional Thai massage, and elderly care centers, to ensure that Thailand is prepared to be the most comprehensive health destination in the Asian region.
In the future, the government plans to expand cooperation with international partners to exchange knowledge and new medical innovations. This action is considered a significant step that will enable Thailand to become a leader in sustainable healthcare and build confidence among service users worldwide who choose to travel to Thailand.
