Government accelerates 'Reinvent Thailand' to unlock 7 key industries and stimulate the economy
Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Director-General of the Revenue Department, has revealed progress on the 'Reinvent Thailand' project, a key policy aimed at improving and developing the country's economic structure, with a focus on working closely with the private sector to drive long-term growth.
This initiative focuses on removing obstacles for 7 key business groups that are vital to the Thai economy. The government aims to transform suggestions from the private sector into actionable practice, enabling entrepreneurs to conduct business more conveniently and efficiently.
Relevant agencies have been tasked with accelerating the finalization of details and issues for each business sector within one month, to be presented to the Joint Public and Private Sector Consultative Committee (JPPCC), which will serve as a crucial step for further policy decision-making.
This effort marks a significant step in increasing Thailand's competitiveness on the global stage. The government believes that if complex procedures can be reduced and regulatory hurdles removed, it will have a positive impact on the overall Thai economy and effectively build confidence among both domestic and international investors.
