Thailand pushes to attract Chinese investors, opens new BOI office in Chengdu
Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, led a Thai delegation and over 150 leaders from the Thai private sector on a visit to Chengdu, China, to strengthen economic ties and open a new Board of Investment (BOI) office.
The opening of this BOI office is a key strategy to establish a foothold in the technology hub of Western China, aiming to attract leading Chinese technology companies to invest in Thailand. This will help elevate Thailand's industries and economy to the next level.
The Thai delegation focused on business negotiations in technology and innovation, believing that having an office in this region will allow Chinese investors to access information and investment incentives in Thailand more conveniently and rapidly.
This collaboration marks a significant step for Thailand in attracting foreign investment, particularly in modern industries, which will have a positive impact on job creation and the development of Thai labor skills in the future.
