Prime Minister confirms no plans to remove 'Chadchart', points out that all parties are working at full capacity to resolve flooding
Due to the flooding situation affecting many areas, there has been criticism regarding the performance of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and the management of the issue by Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt, questioning whether there were failures in handling the current situation.
Most recently, the Prime Minister gave an interview on this matter, confirming that there are currently no thoughts of removing Mr. Chadchart from his position, contrary to circulating rumors. The Prime Minister believes that in such a crisis, all relevant parties are working at full capacity to assist the affected citizens.
The Prime Minister further added that focusing on questioning or criticizing each other's work at this time could negatively impact overall operations and potentially delay problem-solving efforts. Therefore, he would like all parties to prioritize cooperation over finding fault.
At this moment, officials from all agencies continue to accelerate water drainage and provide ongoing assistance to flood victims to minimize the impact on the public as much as possible. The government is ready to support the work of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to ensure the situation returns to normal as quickly as possible.
