Government pushes forward with 'Yothi Medical Innovation District' to become a regional health hub
The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) is accelerating the "Yothi Medical Innovation District" project to transform it into a key health innovation hub for the Asian region, with the goal of elevating Thailand's medical potential to the next level.
This project focuses on fostering collaboration between hospitals, educational institutions, and research agencies located in the Yothi area to create an ecosystem conducive to developing new medical innovations, which will help make medical treatment and public healthcare more efficient.
Furthermore, the government plans to establish a holding company specifically to support business operations and manage various innovations within this district, ensuring greater operational agility and facilitating the transition of research into practical commercial applications.
This development will not only boost the national economy through the medical industry but also build long-term health security for the Thai people, with the expectation that Thailand will become a major international destination for medicine and health innovation.
