LINE revamps application, moves OpenChat to the main tab for greater convenience
LINE Thailand has announced the gradual rollout of a major update to the application's interface and menu structure, aiming to elevate the user experience by making it more convenient and efficient. This change focuses on repositioning key menus to better align with current user behavior.
The most significant change is the adjustment of the main menu bar, where LINE has decided to place the "OpenChat" feature on the main tab, replacing "VOOM." This change is intended to allow users to access discussion groups on topics of interest more easily and quickly than before.
The OpenChat feature has gained immense popularity in Thailand as it provides a space where people can discuss and exchange information on various topics without revealing their real identities, making it a major hub for online communities where users can conveniently follow news or discuss interests with others.
As for the VOOM feature, which has been moved, users can still access it through other channels within the application as usual. This restructuring of the menu is part of a strategy to develop the application into a "Life Platform" that better meets the daily needs of Thai people.
LINE users in Thailand can gradually update their application to the latest version to experience the new menu interface and try out the adjusted features starting today, on both iOS and Android operating systems.
