Prime Minister orders mobilization to tackle nationwide flooding and suspends all overseas missions for cabinet ministers
The flood situation in many areas of Thailand is reaching a critical state, affecting a wide range of citizens. Most recently, the Prime Minister has returned to Thailand urgently to monitor the situation and closely plan water management, emphasizing that all agencies must be prepared to assist affected citizens immediately.
To ensure that flood resolution is efficient and swift, the Prime Minister has issued an urgent order to all cabinet ministers to suspend any overseas travel missions during this period. This is to allow ministers of each ministry to visit the field to oversee citizens and fully direct problem-solving efforts in their respective areas of responsibility.
This decision is considered a vital measure in mobilizing resources and personnel from all sectors to cope with the disaster. The government is focusing on providing temporary shelters, distributing food and drinking water, and preparing public health measures to thoroughly care for victims in high-risk areas.
Furthermore, the government has coordinated with local agencies and volunteers to continuously monitor water levels and weather forecasts in order to alert citizens to prepare for situations that may change at any time. Citizens can follow news and alerts from government agencies for the safety of themselves and their families.
In summary, the government affirms that it will accelerate all efforts to alleviate the suffering of the people as much as possible. It requests cooperation from the public to strictly follow the advice of officials to minimize the losses that may occur from this flooding event.
