Thailand Selected to Host the 2nd Asian Balance Bike Championships in 2027
The Asian Cycling Confederation (ACC) has announced its support for Thailand to host the 2nd Asian Balance Bike Championships in 2027, marking positive news for the Thai youth sports scene as it is once again entrusted with organizing an international event.
General Decha Hemkrasri, President of the Cycling Association of Thailand, also known as "General Muek," revealed that this success stems from Thailand's readiness in terms of competition venues and the consistent success of previous youth cycling promotional activities.
Balance bike racing has gained significant popularity among young children in Thailand as it helps promote physical development, balance, and provides enjoyment for the kids. Hosting at the Asian level will encourage more Thai youth to take an interest in sports and provide a valuable experience in competing against athletes from other countries in the region.
Beyond the sporting benefits, hosting this event will also have a positive impact on Thailand's tourism and economy, as athletes, parents, and support teams from various countries will travel to Thailand. This will help generate revenue and further promote the country's reputation on an international scale.
Currently, the association is preparing in various aspects to ensure that the 2027 competition is as perfect as possible, with the expectation that this event will serve as a crucial platform for developing the potential of Thailand's young athletes to reach a professional level in the future.
