Thailand Set to Host Major Asian Sports Medicine Conference in 2026
Thailand has been honored to host a significant regional academic conference, a collaboration between three major medical and sports institutions. The event will take place in early July 2026 to exchange knowledge and new technologies in the medical field.
This conference brings together the Asian Federation of Sports Medicine (AFSM), the Sports Medicine Association of Thailand (SMAT), and the Thai Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (TOSSM), all of which are organizations that play a crucial role in developing athlete potential and treating sports-related injuries.
The primary objective of the conference is to present research and modern medical innovations. Experts from across Asia will gather to share experiences regarding athlete healthcare, injury prevention, and effective rehabilitation methods, which will be highly beneficial to the Thai sports industry in the future.
The AFSM-SMAT-TOSSM joint academic conference is scheduled to take place from July 2 to 4, 2026. Hosting this event will not only help elevate Thai medical standards but also promote the country's image as an international medical and sports hub.
