Ministry of Public Health pushes Thailand toward becoming a medical investment hub, aiming to attract 10 billion baht in research funding
The Ministry of Public Health has announced a key strategic plan to drive Thailand toward becoming a global medical hub, or Medical Investment Hub, focusing on attracting clinical research investment into the country to elevate treatment standards and create new economic opportunities for Thailand.
The primary goal of this project is to attract 10 billion baht in investment within a specified timeframe. Recently, the Ministry of Public Health reported that it has already reached preliminary investment agreements worth over 4 billion baht, which is considered a positive sign for the project's launch and builds confidence among foreign investors.
To achieve the set goals, the Ministry is preparing to send teams of experts to present Thailand's potential and investment opportunities on the global stage, inviting leading international pharmaceutical companies and research institutions to establish clinical research bases in Thailand. This effort emphasizes the country's readiness in terms of medical personnel and an efficient public health system.
This initiative will not only help generate national income but also develop medical knowledge and innovation for Thai personnel, which will have long-term benefits for the quality of healthcare for the public. The Ministry of Public Health will continue to negotiate with partners worldwide to successfully achieve its established goals.
