Prime Minister orders urgent assistance for flooded areas and issues heavy rain warning for the South
The Prime Minister has ordered relevant agencies to urgently deploy to areas still affected by flooding, particularly in Prachin Buri and Chachoengsao provinces, where prolonged stagnant water has begun to cause foul odors and impact the hygiene of local residents.
Officials have accelerated drainage efforts and distributed relief kits to victims to alleviate initial hardships, while also testing water quality in the area to prevent the spread of waterborne diseases. The government emphasized that it will not abandon the people and will work to restore living conditions to normal as quickly as possible.
In addition to the issues in the East, the Prime Minister expressed concern regarding heavy rainfall in the South. He has ordered local agencies to prepare and closely monitor the situation during these 10 dangerous days to prevent potential damage from flash floods and landslides.
Residents in high-risk areas should continuously follow announcements from the Thai Meteorological Department and strictly adhere to official instructions to ensure the safety of their lives and property, as well as those of their families, during this period of heavy rain.
