Department of Mental Health partners with ThaiHealth to launch HHA project for holistic mental health care for workers
The Department of Mental Health has collaborated with the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth) and labor network partners to launch the “Holistic Health Advisor” (HHA) project, a new initiative focused on providing systematic and comprehensive mental health care for the working-age population in Thailand.
The primary goal of this project is to create a network of holistic health advisory officers to provide guidance and support to employees facing stress or mental health issues from work, with an emphasis on improving mental well-being and achieving a better work-life balance.
Currently, working-age people in Thailand are facing pressure from various fronts, including economic conditions and increasing workloads. The HHA project, therefore, plays a crucial role as an accessible advisory resource to help reduce the risk of burnout and severe long-term mental health problems.
This operation will focus on developing skills for representatives within organizations, enabling them to observe symptoms and provide preliminary counseling accurately according to academic principles before referring cases to specialists if necessary. This creates a happier and safer working environment.
This collaboration marks a significant step in enhancing the quality of life for workers in Thailand. It is expected that the HHA project will help foster an organizational culture that prioritizes mental health and serve as a sustainable model for employee care in the future.
