National Sports Development Fund approves budget to support 10 Thai sports associations
The National Sports Development Fund held a meeting to consider the annual budget allocation, recently resolving to approve funding for various sports associations to be used for athlete development and preparation for major domestic and international competitions.
Following the meeting, the committee approved the budget for 10 sports associations. This funding will be utilized in several areas, such as procuring modern training equipment, hiring expert coaches, and sending athletes to training camps or competitions to earn ranking points.
This support is part of a long-term plan to elevate the standards of the Thai sports industry to an international level. The Fund emphasized that the associations receiving the budget must ensure transparent and auditable management to provide maximum benefit to all athletes.
Furthermore, the Fund is preparing to evaluate other sports associations in the next phase to ensure comprehensive development across all sports categories. It is hoped that this continuous support will create opportunities for Thai athletes to build their reputation and bring more medals back to Thailand in the future.
