Ministry of Commerce launches campaign to promote Thai fruits globally, generating income for farmers
The Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce, continues to drive the agricultural economy by launching a campaign under the concept "Thailand: The Land of Tropical Fruits" to build a positive image for Thai fruits in the eyes of the world and stimulate domestic consumption.
The main goal of this project is to encourage people to consume more Thai fruits under the slogan "Consume Thai fruits, be proud of Thai fruits," focusing on building confidence in the quality and unique taste of Thai fruits, which are internationally recognized for being fresh and delicious, second to none in the world.
In addition, the Department of Internal Trade is focusing on increasing distribution channels for farmers so that they can distribute produce directly and more quickly to consumers, which will help reduce the problem of oversupply and help farmers have stable and sustainable income throughout the production season.
This operation is considered a key strategy in elevating the standards of Thai fruits to be more widely recognized, both among tourists and in international markets, which will have a positive impact on the overall Thai economy, especially the fruit export sector, which is a major source of income for the country.
