EEF partners with NHSO to link databases, helping children who have dropped out of the education system nationwide
The Equitable Education Fund (EEF) has partnered with the National Health Security Office (NHSO) to forge a significant collaboration in linking databases of vulnerable children and youth across the country. The primary goal is to support the "Thailand Zero Dropout Plus" project, which focuses on bringing children who have dropped out of the education system back to school.
This collaboration will utilize data exchange between the agencies to accurately identify and locate children in need of assistance. Once the information is identified, both agencies will be able to provide necessary health support to these children more comprehensively and rapidly.
Linking health data with education is considered a key strategy, as health issues are often a major obstacle preventing children from attending school regularly. Therefore, proper healthcare serves as a foundation that helps children become ready to return to the education system and improves their quality of life.
This project marks a significant step in addressing educational inequality in Thailand, with the hope that integrating efforts between government agencies will ensure that all Thai children receive equal opportunities for education and public health services in the future.
