Government to launch 'Thailand FastPass' to expedite approval of large-scale investment projects
The Thai government is preparing to launch a new initiative called "Thailand FastPass" to accelerate the review and approval process for large-scale investment projects from both domestic and international investors. The primary goal is to stimulate the economy and build confidence among businesses looking to invest in Thailand.
Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, emphasized the importance of this project, stating that it will help unlock bureaucratic delays that have been a significant obstacle to doing business. The government aims to make the process of reviewing documents and obtaining various permits more streamlined and efficient.
Operations under Thailand FastPass will focus on coordination between relevant government agencies to reduce redundancy and ensure that investment projects can commence according to their planned timelines. This is considered a key strategy for the government to attract new investment capital into the country amidst regional economic competition.
Currently, the Prime Minister and the relevant team are preparing for the official launch of the project. It is expected that this measure will help foster a better investment climate and have a positive impact on the long-term growth of the Thai economy.
