Statement from the Ministry of Health on the Digital Appointment System
Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu made important statements regarding Turkey's digitalization goals in healthcare services. Minister Memişoğlu stated that the efforts carried out under the "Health Türkiye" brand aim to facilitate citizens' access to healthcare services.
According to the information shared by the Ministry, the services offered through the Central Physician Appointment System (MHRS) continue to be expanded. Currently, the system can manage appointment processes for both physicians and healthcare facilities across 79 different medical specialties through digital channels.
With this digitalization step, the goal is to reduce patient waiting times at hospitals and make the appointment scheduling process more transparent. Citizens can easily book appointments in their desired specialty via the internet or mobile applications.
The Ministry of Health states that this system strengthens Turkey's healthcare capacity at both the local and international levels. The "Health Türkiye" brand stands out as a vision aimed at increasing Turkey's visibility in the fields of health tourism and service quality.
