MKE’s New Laser Weapon System Adds Strength to Air Defense
The Machinery and Chemical Industry (MKE) has announced new technologies developed to enhance Turkey's air defense capacity. The company continues to modernize its defense power by adding a new and effective layer to existing air defense systems.
The most striking feature of the newly developed system is the 'Laser Weapon System' used against aerial threats. This system aims to offer a fast and precise solution, particularly against unmanned aerial vehicles and other low-altitude aerial threats.
The Laser Weapon System was designed not as a standalone unit, but as part of a broader defense network. Acoustic detection systems and ENFAL-17 missiles have also been integrated into the system. Through this integration, the goal is to detect and neutralize threats at an earlier stage.
These technological advancements align with Turkey's goals of increasing independence in the domestic defense industry. These systems developed by MKE will significantly support the operational capabilities of the Turkish Armed Forces in the field of air defense.
