Knife Attack on Occupational Health Doctor in Tuzla, Istanbul
An occupational health doctor working in the Anatolian Organized Industrial Zone in Istanbul's Tuzla district was seriously injured in a knife attack. The incident occurred at a workplace in the area and caused great concern among those nearby.
According to the information obtained, Dr. B.A. was attacked by an unidentified person while performing his duties. After harming the doctor with a knife he had brought with him, the assailant attempted to flee the scene. Upon noticing the situation, bystanders immediately notified health and police teams.
Health teams arrived at the scene shortly after and provided initial intervention to the severely injured Dr. B.A. The injured doctor was taken to the hospital by ambulance and placed under treatment. It has been reported that the doctor's condition remains serious.
Police teams launched a wide-scale operation in the area to apprehend the attacker. As a result of the investigations and the examination of security camera footage, the suspect was caught and taken into custody shortly thereafter. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
