Striking Statements About Nikola Jokic from NBA Coach
Toronto Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic made remarkable statements about NBA star Nikola Jokic. Rajakovic argued that the Serbian basketball player's style of play and achievements do not receive the recognition they deserve worldwide.
Rajakovic described Jokic as one of the greatest players in basketball history. The experienced coach stated that the main reason Jokic's talents and on-court contributions are not sufficiently appreciated is that he has spent his entire career in the NBA.
The Serbian coach expressed that if Jokic had started his career in Europe, particularly with established teams like Red Star or Partizan, the fans' perspective on him might have been very different. According to Rajakovic, if Jokic's connection to European basketball were more prominent, he would be supported by a much larger fan base across the continent.
Nikola Jokic is considered one of the most dominant players in the league with the MVP awards and championships he has won in the NBA. However, these words from Rajakovic have sparked a new debate in the sports world regarding how a player's success is perceived based on the league they play in and the geographical location of their fan base.
