Türkiye Provides Training Support to Senegalese Air Force Personnel
Türkiye has added another new initiative to its collaborations in the defense industry and military training. According to sources from the Presidency of Defense Industries, the military training program between Türkiye and Senegal has been successfully completed. Within this scope, comprehensive technical training on the maintenance of KT-1T trainer aircraft was provided to Senegalese Air Force personnel.
The training process was conducted under the guidance of Turkish aviation experts. Senegalese technicians acquired theoretical and practical knowledge on keeping KT-1T aircraft flight-ready, performing periodic maintenance, and resolving potential technical issues. This effort aims to increase the technical capacity of the defense cooperation between the two countries.
KT-1T aircraft are preferred by many air forces worldwide as basic trainer aircraft. Türkiye continues to share its expertise in both the production and maintenance of these aircraft with friendly and allied nations. The training program is considered an important step in supporting the operational power of the Senegalese Air Force.
