Statement from the Ministry of Health on the Digital Appointment System
Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu made significant statements regarding Turkey's digitalization efforts in the field of healthcare. The Minister stated that the projects carried out under the "Health Türkiye" brand aim to facilitate citizens' access to healthcare services.
Minister Memişoğlu provided information about the current status of the Central Physician Appointment System (MHRS). Emphasizing that the system has a highly developed infrastructure, the Minister stated that appointment processes for physicians and healthcare facilities in 79 different branches are currently managed entirely through digital channels.
This digitalization step aims to reduce congestion in healthcare institutions by allowing patients to make appointments before going to hospitals. Citizens can easily schedule appointments with specialist physicians in their desired branches through mobile applications and websites.
The Ministry of Health states that this system saves time for both patients and healthcare workers. It was reported that efforts will continue to make healthcare services faster, more efficient, and more accessible with the "Health Türkiye" vision.
