New Laser Weapon System for Air Defense from MKE
The Machinery and Chemical Industry (MKE) has developed a new technology to strengthen Turkey's air defense capacity. The company announced that it has prepared a special 'Laser Weapon System' to be integrated into existing air defense systems.
This new system aims to provide more effective protection against aerial threats. With the developments made, not only a laser weapon but also acoustic detection systems and ENFAL-17 missiles have been added to the defense system.
The acoustic detection system can detect approaching aircraft early through sound waves. The ENFAL-17 missiles, on the other hand, are designed to hit targets with a high accuracy rate. The laser weapon offers a critical solution, especially against low-cost threats that require rapid intervention.
This integrated system demonstrates Turkey's progress in the domestic defense industry. The combined use of different technologies makes the air defense network both more secure and more versatile.
In conclusion, this new step by MKE takes Turkey's technological infrastructure for protecting its airspace to the next level. The new system is expected to make a significant contribution to the operational capacity of the security forces.
