Turkish Armed Forces Foundation Celebrated Its 39th Anniversary with Youth
The Turkish Armed Forces Foundation celebrated the 39th anniversary of its establishment with special events. As part of this significant anniversary, the foundation brought together 400 young people from all over Turkey to organize a meaningful technology tour.
The event program began with a visit to Anıtkabir, the eternal resting place of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey. Here, the youth paid their respects at Atatürk's mausoleum. This visit held great importance in reminding the young people of national values.
Continuing the program, the youth visited the facilities of ASELSAN and TUSAŞ, which are sources of pride in Turkey's defense industry. Through these visits, the students had the opportunity to examine domestic and national technology projects on-site. By learning about the work of engineers, the youth had the chance to see Turkey's development in the defense sector up close.
Defense industry projects play a critical role in Turkey's technological independence. Foundation officials stated that they aim to increase the interest of young people in science and technology through such events. It was expressed that these types of field trips are a great source of motivation for the engineers and scientists of the future.
Having strengthened the Turkish Armed Forces for 39 years, the foundation once again emphasized the importance of the defense industry to the younger generation with this event. The event concluded with messages full of hope for Turkey's technological future.
