Construction Production in Turkey Rose in August
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has shared the construction production data for August 2026 with the public. According to the released data, construction production in Turkey showed an increase of 2.3 percent compared to the same period last year.
The construction sector is considered one of the most important locomotives of the Turkish economy. This growth in the sector is of great importance both in terms of supporting employment opportunities and stimulating related industries. Experts state that this increase in production is an indicator of market activity.
The data reveals that the sector continues its operations and maintains its production capacity despite challenging economic conditions. It is observed that work on residential and infrastructure projects, in particular, has had a positive impact on the overall production figures.
Whether this momentum in the construction sector will continue in the coming months is being closely monitored. Economists state that they will continue to evaluate developments in the sector in terms of both costs and the balance of demand.
