A New Map Prepared on Think Tanks in Turkey and Their Relations with the U.S.
An organization called the Middle East Forum has published a new study examining think tanks and policy centers in Turkey. This study includes an interactive map that analyzes the approaches of 21 different think tanks operating in Turkey toward the United States (U.S.).
This digital map aims to visualize the ideological stances and foreign policy views of these institutions. The research addresses in detail the relationships these organizations have with the U.S. and how these relationships have changed over time.
Another important focus of the study is the career mobility of the personnel working at these institutions. Where experts come from and which institutions they move to is presented as an important data source for understanding how policy-making processes in Turkey are shaped.
This project serves as a guide for researchers and policy observers who want to get to know the structure of the intellectual world in Turkey more closely. The map aims to help understand how the complex relations between Turkey and the U.S. are discussed at an academic level.
