MKE's New Laser Weapon System Adds Strength to Air Defense
The Machinery and Chemical Industry (MKE) has taken a significant step to increase Turkey's air defense capacity. By integrating modern technologies into the new air defense system it has developed, the institution has once again demonstrated its domestic production power in the defense industry.
The newly developed system is equipped not only with traditional methods but also with high-tech solutions. Acoustic detection devices and ENFAL-17 missiles have been placed within the system. These components allow for the faster and more accurate identification of threats in the airspace.
One of the most striking features of the system is the newly added 'Laser Weapon System.' This technology aims to provide an effective defense, particularly against unmanned aerial vehicles and similar aerial threats. Laser technology provides a significant advantage in defense strategies due to its cost-effectiveness and rapid response capability.
These developments are of great importance in line with Turkey's goals of reducing foreign dependency in the defense industry. This integrated system, brought to life by MKE, aims to make the Turkish Armed Forces' air defense network stronger and more secure.
