Frightening Earthquake in Kayseri: 4.1 Magnitude Tremor
The province of Kayseri experienced a brief period of panic today due to an earthquake. According to a statement made by the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), a tremor with a magnitude of 4.1 was recorded, with its epicenter in Kayseri.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of approximately 7 kilometers. The tremor was felt in the center of Kayseri as well as in the surrounding districts. Due to the impact of the earthquake, citizens briefly left their homes and workplaces, heading to safe areas.
Authorities began field survey operations in the region immediately following the earthquake. According to initial examinations conducted so far, it has been reported that there was no loss of life or property due to the earthquake. Teams are continuing their checks in the region against any potential negative developments.
The Kayseri Governor's Office warned citizens to follow the statements of official institutions. Experts, meanwhile, emphasize that Turkey is an earthquake-prone country and that one must always be prepared. Seismic activity in the region continues to be closely monitored by AFAD.
