Message of Support for Palestine and Gaza from President Erdoğan
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan reiterated his firm stance on the Palestinian issue once again. Erdoğan emphasized that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state is essential for peace and stability in the region.
The President stated that urgent steps must be taken to improve the current situation in Gaza. Drawing attention particularly to the reconstruction of the region and ensuring the safety of its people, Erdoğan invited the international community to be more active in this process.
Referring to Turkey's leading role in humanitarian aid, officials stated that efforts are ongoing to meet the basic needs of the civilian population in Gaza. Halting the destruction in the region and achieving a permanent ceasefire remain among the most important agenda items in Turkey's foreign policy.
Erdoğan stated that an independent and sovereign Palestinian state is the fundamental solution for ending the conflicts in the region. Turkey announced that it will continue to seek solutions at both regional and global levels by utilizing diplomatic channels throughout this process.
