A New Trade and Investment Bridge Between Türkiye and Pakistan
Istanbul hosted an important economic meeting on July 4th. The Türkiye-Pakistan Business and Investment Forum was organized to strengthen commercial relations between the two countries. The meeting was attended by the Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye, Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, and Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır.
At the forum, issues regarding increasing the trade volume between the two countries and encouraging mutual investments were discussed. Officials emphasized their desire to take the strategic partnership between Türkiye and Pakistan to a higher level. Cooperation is specifically planned in areas such as energy, the defense industry, and infrastructure projects.
In his speech, Cevdet Yılmaz drew attention to Türkiye's historical friendship with Pakistan and stated that economic cooperation would further consolidate this friendship. Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat noted that the necessary steps would be taken to ensure that trade between the two countries grows in a balanced manner. Business world representatives also had the chance to come together at the forum to evaluate new partnership opportunities.
This forum is seen as part of Türkiye's strategy to strengthen its commercial ties with Asian countries. These discussions between the two nations are expected to result in concrete projects in the coming period and contribute to the economies of both countries.
