Türkiye's Domestic Production Move in the Defense Industry
Türkiye continues to take significant steps to reduce foreign dependency and develop its own technology in the defense industry. Domestic companies operating in this field are contributing to national defense power by increasing their capacities, particularly in ammunition production.
The Chairman of the Board of ESSAV Technology drew attention to the importance of domestic production in Türkiye's defense strategy in a statement. The company uses its modern technological infrastructure to produce training ammunition and various hand grenade models. This production process is carried out with advanced equipment such as high-precision CNC machines and press machines.
The 40-46, 40-51, and 40-53 model training ammunition produced, as well as the 60mm, 81mm, and 82mm caliber hand grenades, are designed to meet the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces. Thanks to domestic production, the costs of this ammunition are reduced, while supply processes are made more secure and faster.
Such domestic projects in the defense industry aim to strengthen Türkiye's technological independence. Experts state that domestic production is not only an economic gain but also a critical strategic choice for national security. Türkiye plans to continue investing in domestic defense technologies in the coming period.
