Türkiye Rises to World Leadership in Defense Industry
Türkiye has achieved significant success in the defense industry through the technological investments it has made in recent years. By rising to the first place in the world in the production of military unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the country has become a globally recognized power.
Behind this success lies the great support given to research and development (R&D) activities. According to the data, the number of R&D personnel in Türkiye has shown a massive increase, rising from 29 thousand to 311 thousand. This situation proves that the country's qualified workforce capacity is developing rapidly.
The number of technoparks established to support technological progress also continues to increase rapidly across the country. These centers provide a suitable environment for engineers and researchers to develop new projects. The increasing number of technoparks directly supports Türkiye's advanced production capacity.
Türkiye aims to carry this leadership in the defense industry into other technology sectors as well. The investments made play an important role not only in the military field but also in increasing the overall production quality. These developments are increasing Türkiye's competitive power in the global technology market with each passing day.
