Eurofighter Typhoon Pilot Training Begins in Türkiye
Türkiye is taking a significant step as part of its efforts to strengthen its air forces. While Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets are planned to enter the inventory in 2030, the training process for the pilots who will operate these aircraft is officially beginning.
The first phase of the training program will be implemented on September 7, 2026. This basic training process, which aims for pilots to fully adapt to the aircraft and gain operational capabilities, will last for a total of eight months.
Following the basic training, a special initiative will be undertaken to increase domestic training capacity. In this context, an instructor pilot course lasting three months will be organized. Thanks to this course, Türkiye will possess the expertise to train future pilots within its own organization.
The addition of Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft to the fleet will significantly increase Türkiye's air defense capacity. These preparations are intended to ensure that both pilots and technical teams are fully ready by the delivery date of the aircraft.
