Türkiye's Tourism Revenue Doubles in Eight Years
Türkiye has achieved great success in the tourism sector in recent years. According to data shared by the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, the country's revenue from tourism has shown a significant increase over the last eight years.
Tourism revenue, which was approximately 30 billion dollars eight years ago, has risen to 65 billion dollars today. This rapid growth has also strengthened Türkiye's position in the global tourism market.
With these successful results, Türkiye has risen to fourth place in the rankings of countries that attract the most tourists and generate the highest tourism revenue worldwide. This development is considered a result of the diversity in the sector and the investments made.
The tourism sector continues to be one of the most important sources of foreign currency for the Turkish economy. Officials state that efforts will continue to maintain this momentum and further increase tourism revenues in the coming periods.
