This development has become a significant source of morale for the future of Turkish basketball.
Our national team, known as the "12 Giant Men," is drawing attention with its impressive recent performance. According to FIBA's official statement, Turkey's squad depth and on-court discipline are cited among the most important reasons for this success. Leaving behind other strong rivals in Europe, the Crescent-Stars have become the top favorite team ahead of the qualifiers.
Teams are undergoing a challenging qualification process to participate in the FIBA Basketball World Cup, which will be held in Qatar in 2027. During this process, Turkey has built a balanced team by bringing together both young talents and experienced players. This strategy has ensured that the national team is recognized as one of Europe's strongest squads.
Turkish fans are experiencing great pride due to the national team's success. The same performance is expected to continue in the upcoming matches. If the 12 Giant Men maintain this form, the goal is for them to represent Turkey in the best possible way at the 2027 World Cup and compete for a medal.
