Health Minister Memişoğlu: Digital Transformation in Healthcare is Accelerating
Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu made important statements regarding Turkey's digitalization efforts in the field of healthcare. Minister Memişoğlu stated that projects carried out under the "Health Türkiye" brand, in particular, aim to make the country's healthcare system more modern and accessible.
One of the ministry's most significant projects, the Central Physician Appointment System (MHRS), facilitates citizens' access to healthcare services. Memişoğlu stated that this system is currently actively used for physicians and healthcare facilities across 79 different specialties.
These processes, conducted through digital channels, aim to reduce waiting times for patients during the appointment booking stage. Thanks to the system, citizens can reach the specialist physicians they need more quickly, and the operations within healthcare facilities are becoming more organized.
The Ministry of Health continues to develop this digital infrastructure both for patients within Turkey and plans to support health tourism internationally under the "Health Türkiye" brand. These technological investments are expected to further increase the quality of healthcare services in the coming period.
