PISA Results Demonstrate Turkey's Success in Education
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan evaluated the recently announced PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) results. Stating that the progress Turkey has made in the field of education is supported by international data, Erdoğan noted that the results prove the success of the country's educational policies.
The PISA exam, organized by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), measures the mathematics, science, and reading skills of 15-year-old students. In recent years, Turkey has drawn a steady upward trajectory in these areas, succeeding in closing the gap with many OECD countries.
Education experts emphasize that curriculum updates and investments made in teacher training are behind this success. In particular, the integration of digital educational tools into classrooms and the focus on students' analytical thinking skills have been positively reflected in the exam results.
Ministry officials announced that new projects will be implemented in the coming period to further increase the quality of education. The goal has been set to make this rise in Turkey's education sustainable and to move its global ranking to higher positions.
