Sports Facilities Renovated in Bornova
In the Bornova district of İzmir, municipal teams have launched an important initiative to ensure citizens can engage in sports with higher quality facilities. The Bornova Municipality’s Directorate of Science Affairs and Directorate of Sports Services carried out a joint project to modernize the existing sports facilities in the district.
As part of the work, the physical conditions of the facilities were improved and shortcomings were addressed. The renovated areas have been made more suitable for use by both professional athletes and citizens who engage in sports as amateurs.
Municipal officials stated that strengthening the sports infrastructure in the district is among their primary goals. The facilities, which have gained a modern appearance, are expected to improve the sports culture in the region and encourage more young people to take up sports.
This renovation project was welcomed by the citizens living in Bornova. The municipality announced that it will continue its improvement efforts in social and sports areas throughout the district in the coming period.
