Summer 2025 could be the hottest!
Several global weather models currently indicate that this year's summer may be extremely hot. According to Nicholas Zimmermann from the Ubimet weather service in an interview with the KURIER newspaper, this is not surprising, as the months of July and August have become hotter year after year.
Although some meteorologists are already talking about a "summer of the century" that could encompass large parts of Europe, Zimmermann warns against such predictions. He said, "We cannot currently be certain whether record temperatures are on their way to us. Predictions should be taken with caution."
Zimmerman added that forecasts indicate a warmer summer than usual every year, "and one day these forecasts will likely be accurate," he said.
Although current estimates suggest a summer that exceeds the usual temperature averages, it cannot be confirmed whether the summer of 2025 will be the hottest since temperature records began, or if it will just be another hot summer in the ranking.
Tsimerman expects that next summer will be similar to past years in terms of temperatures. Tips for dealing with the heat: Drink at least 2 to 3 liters of water daily. To cool the body, it is preferable to take a lukewarm shower instead of a very cold one. Eat light meals, focusing on fruits and vegetables. Wear light and comfortable clothing that allows air to pass through. Don't forget sunscreen and a hat. Keep the house cool by ventilating in the morning or evening.
