The future of big business in Ukraine: a discussion on state support
Representatives of large Ukrainian businesses have criticized the current system of state support. In particular, Metinvest stated that the conditions for the operation of large industrial enterprises in Ukraine are becoming increasingly difficult, which is forcing businesses to reconsider their future plans.
The main problem, according to entrepreneurs, lies in the lack of effective assistance mechanisms during the war. The company emphasizes that big business is the foundation of the economy, as it provides jobs and significant tax revenues to the state budget. However, these enterprises are currently facing logistical difficulties and high energy costs.
Experts note that the discussion on state support is extremely important for the country's recovery. On one hand, the state has limited resources due to the need to fund the defense sector. On the other hand, without support for key industrial sectors, economic growth after the end of hostilities will be significantly slower.
Currently, the government and business representatives are looking for compromise solutions. Options for reducing the tax burden for manufacturers operating in frontline zones, as well as simplifying product export procedures, are being discussed. It is expected that new initiatives to improve the investment climate in Ukraine will be presented in the near future.
