Ukraine's Defense Forces have seized the initiative in the Lyman direction
Ukrainian military forces have achieved success on the front line near the city of Lyman in the Donetsk region. According to analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Defense Forces of Ukraine have been able to seize the initiative in this sector and liberate a portion of the occupied territories.
This success is significant, as it has disrupted the plans of Russian occupation forces to encircle key cities in the Donbas. Experts note that this is the first such shift in the situation in Ukraine's favor since the beginning of the Kursk operation.
Thanks to the active efforts of Ukrainian defenders, it has been possible to stabilize the front line and halt the enemy's advance. Military analysts emphasize that such actions significantly complicate tasks for the Russian army, which had been attempting to concentrate its forces for a large-scale offensive in the region.
Currently, the situation in the Lyman direction remains tense but controlled. Ukrainian units continue to hold their positions and carry out combat missions to prevent the enemy from realizing its strategic goals in eastern Ukraine.
