Ukraine has abolished import duties on metal products from China
The Ukrainian government has made the decision to abolish anti-dumping duties on the import of steel screws, bolts, and nuts supplied from China. This decision was officially announced following an analysis of the current situation in the domestic metal products market.
The main reason for this step was the suspension of operations at the Druzhkivka Metalware Plant. This enterprise was a key national manufacturer of these products, but due to the difficult conditions of wartime, it was forced to cease its operations.
Previously, anti-dumping duties were in effect to protect Ukrainian manufacturers from cheap imports and to support the competitiveness of domestic goods. Since domestic production is currently absent, the government decided that the continued application of duties does not serve the national interests of the country.
The lifting of these restrictions will allow Ukrainian companies and consumers to more easily obtain necessary fastening materials from abroad. This will help avoid a shortage of goods that are important for various sectors of industry and construction.
Currently, this decision is a temporary measure aimed at stabilizing the market under economic challenges. The government continues to monitor the situation and analyze the needs of the Ukrainian economy during the period of martial law.
